Manual Transmission Vehicles

There are many types of vehicles as we know it. Cars are the most popular vehicles on the road that should facilitate travel from one place to another. However, not all cars are the same because each model has a specific mileage, transmission and speed. Depending on the power of the engine and the condition of the parts, you can really tell the difference.

As you can recall, all trucks and cars sold in the US in the 1950s were manual transmission vehicles. When automatic transmission cars were introduced, the driving experience of each pupil have been revolutionised to be much easier to learn. Despite the lower fuel efficiency of such vehicles, they became very famous compared to those using manual transmission. Driving in a car with a five-speed manual transmission might be a daunting task for some. However, we will try to tackle this difficulty as we go further.

Initially, before you start the engine, you must engage the clutch with your left foot by pushing it all the way to the floor. The shifter should be put into neutral position while keeping your right foot on the brake. Parking brakes must be turned off as you move the shifter into first gear and ease up on the clutch while taking your right foot off the brake and moving it into the accelerator. Give your car a little gas by pressing lightly on the accelerator keeping the RPM (revolutions per minute) constant until the car begins to move.

When the car is already moving, it is time to accelerate by pushing the clutch back in and shift the stick into second gear. Once you get into gear number two, slowly let out the clutch and push on the accelerator again. Perform this to as far as you need to but make sure that you shift up when the RPM gauge gets around 3. On the other hand, be ready to shift down when the RPM gauge gets below 2 and so on.
