Everything You Need To Know

So from the 14th of April, you will need to pass a whole new Theory Test to get your licence, thus there is no better time to do your theory than NOW!
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has revised the exam, the Mirror Online reports. This is the one you will have to complete before you can carry on to your practical.
The new theory test is of such that is supposed to be fairer, and this even includes those with various forms of learning disabilities.
Currently you there are 50 multiple-choice questions that need to be answered within 57 minutes, where after you need to pass a hazard perception test in order to pass.
In the Q&A, there is a case study and then 5 questions based on the rules of the road.
As of Spring 2020, students will be asked to watch a short, silent, video clip, followed by 3 multiple-choice questions.
Students will be allowed to watch the video clip as many times as needed during the multiple-choice section.
The video clip scenario will be as though driving through a town center or driving on a country road.
"We have worked closely with road safety experts and learners to create a theory test which fully tests a candidate's knowledge of the rules of the road and is more accessible." Mark Winn
Despite the changes however, you will still be required to study the same books and software to prepare for your theory test.
The test will still exist of
- Answer 50 multiple-choice questions within 57 minutes
- Get 43 out of the 50 questions right to pass the multiple-choice part of the test
The change will not apply to the following theory tests:
- Motorcycle
- Lorry
- Bus or coach
- Approved driving instructor (ADI) part 1
